PFL and Dream Sports Group Unite to Ignite Football Revival in Pakistan
Pakistan Football League invests with Dream Sports Group to Forge Alliance in Reviving Football Through World-Class Stadium Infrastructure, aiming to build 100 sports grounds across Pakistan by 2028.
Lahore , April 21, 2026 — The Pakistan Football League (PFL) has announced a landmark alliance with Dream Sports Group (DSG) to spearhead the development of modern football stadiums across Pakistan. This partnership directly addresses the country’s most pressing challenge in football: the lack of FIFA-standard venues.
For decades, Pakistan’s football has been constrained by inadequate infrastructure, with only a handful of stadiums which lack international standards. The alliance between PFL and DSG is designed to change that reality by building and upgrading various sports venues nationwide, laying the foundation for a vibrant football culture and the revival of the sport in Pakistan.
Welcoming the alliance as one strategic move, Chairman, PFL, Farhan Ahmed Junejo said, “Since launching the Pakistan Football League in 2024, our mission has been to serve the dreams of millions of passionate fans and aspiring players. PFL’s mission statement ensures that the talented youth of Pakistan shall not be left stranded from living their dreams to represent Pakistan on local and international stage respectively.”
Speaking upon Pakistan’s inaugural football league, he commented, “While everyone eagerly awaits the launch of Pakistan’s inaugural football league, the delay has primarily been due to absence of infrastructure and football stadiums/grounds, hence PFL has taken this initiative together with DSG to strengthen the existing infrastructure for football in Pakistan. Which is why, I can say that the revival of football in Pakistan is no longer a distant aspiration—good news is on the horizon, and the dawn of a new era for our fans and talented youth is just around the corner.”
Reflecting on his dream of providing state of the art sports infrastructures across Pakistan, Chairman, Dream Sports Group, Qaiser Baryar, termed this alliance as a “Game Changer” and said, “Joining hands with the Pakistan Football League is a defining moment in our mission to revive football in Pakistan. This alliance is not just about building stadiums—it is about building dreams. Together, we will create One Hundred world-class venues across the country, giving our youth the facilities they deserve and reigniting the passion for football on a national scale.
It is pertinent to mention that through this alliance, Pakistan will soon witness the rise of several state-of-the-art football stadiums and academies. These facilities will serve as the perfect launchpad for aspiring and talented youth, igniting a new chapter in the nation’s sporting journey and ensuring that the dream of football revival transforms into a lasting reality.
The Pakistan Football League is also set to announce key leadership additions in the coming weeks, alongside a groundbreaking announcement for the league, marking another milestone in its evolution. These appointments are aimed at bringing fresh expertise and strategic direction to PFL’s mission of reviving football in Pakistan, ensuring that the league’s vision is supported by strong leadership and global best practices.
